Meetings, conventions and events bring people together for a common purpose, and event planners work to ensure that this purpose is achieved seamlessly. Event planners coordinate every detail of events or meetings and conventions, from the speakers and meeting location to arranging for printed materials and audio-visual equipment.
Event Planning is an excellent opportunity to work hard while executing successful events or programs. Event professionals who completed additional training and certification programs earned an average of 10 -20% more than standard compensation.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual earnings of wage and salary meeting and convention planners in May 2006 were $42,180. The middle 50 percent earned between $32,840 and $55,040. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $25,880, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $70,950. In 2006, median annual earnings in the industries employing the largest numbers of meeting and convention planners were as follows:

All NBBA classes are taught using state of the art new technology called webex and teleconference. Participants attend class from the comfort of their home or office. You must have access to a computer and phone. There is no cost to use the software.
Introduction to Event Planning Course:
This course is designed for professionals interested in pursuing a career in the special event, bridal planning industries or planning for that special event. articipants are introduced to business basics, best practices and tools for success. Topics Include: client consultations, proposal writing, theme creation, time line management, budgeting, logistics, technology, day-of coordination, and venue and vendor management and evaluations.
